Project Management
Owner’s Representative
Many of our clients are large operators or investors from out of state who need someone close to their site to oversee the project and act in their best interest. We establish a relationship of trust with our clients during the initial site development phases, and in many cases, our clients will ask us to lead and make decisions on their behalf throughout the various phases of the project.
To do this, we:
Make recommendations to develop the team of service providers who can build a turn-key facility for the owner/operator
Work to ensure appropriate levels of communication are occurring between the engineers, attorneys, contractors, and various service providers
Provide regular updates to the project owners
Develop schedules and ensure all project timelines/deadlines are met
Continue to develop relationships with neighbors & local key influencers to ensure long-term success of the project
Construction Management
We have worked with numerous general contractors to oversee all aspects of major construction projects. We handle everything surrounding the project so the site supervisors and sub-contractors can focus on building the site.
We handle:
Communication with Federal, State, & Local regulatory agencies (i.e. Conditional Use Permits, Haul Road Agreements, Right-of-Way Easements & Permits, Bore Permits for waterlines or manure culverts, Water Rights, etc.)
Interfacing with utility & service providers regarding connections, infrastructure locations, construction timelines (i.e. electric, rural water, fiber optic, well drilling, etc.)
Neighborhood concerns: we make sure that any issues (truck traffic, runoff, road concerns, etc.) are heard and addressed before small concerns have the opportunity to escalate into big problems
Organizing open house events and site tours
Business Development
With the growing livestock and infrastructure boom happening in South Dakota, a few of our larger clients choose our team to serve as a strategic partner to provide them with insight, strategy, and resources to grow their business. Operations like Rembrandt Foods, Agropur, Gevo, or South Dakota Soybean Processors employ us to look after their best interests, build key relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
We will:
Meet with prospects and potential partners
Develop marketing and promotional materials for development efforts
Create cash flows, manure value spreadsheets, presentation materials, etc.
Attend trade shows and other industry events on behalf of clients
Develop a network of livestock industry service providers who can assist with development in the region
